Concerned Citizens of Wildwood Accountability For The People
Accountability Through Transparency
Accountability Through Transparency
Concerned Citizens of Wildwood is a resident centered group dedicated to holding elected and appointed officials accountable to the people they represent. Upholding the City Charter, city ordinances and the commitment to transparent processes is our mission. This page will be publishing efforts to initiate investigations and audits of violations of open bidding laws, and sunshine law.
Wildwood Mayor James Bowlin, Mayor ProTem Joe Garritano and City Council want you to believe the Trash and Recycling contracts were the best they could do.
We think otherwise and believe you should know what occurred that we are now paying the price.
City Council member has his ”facts” wrong again.
This memo clearly indicates the plan to
”re-confirm” and “replace” Waste Connections. It is incorrect for Council member Garritano to claim the city did not terminate the contract.
In this letter the hauler clearly indicates an interest in negotiating terms. Council action precluded notice from Waste Connections.
Wildwood citizens have been subject to falsehoods, manipulation of process and have been forced to pay more for service they had no participation.
Questions about why citizens are being forced to pay unjustified increases are legitimate. When contracts are made in secret suspicions are that corruption is occurring. An investigation is necessary into the violations that are being perpetrated. Wildwood citizens deserve better.n
Keep up to date.
